Obedience is Life Changing

Obedience is the foundation of all dog training. An obedient dog will make life less stressful and more gratifying for your dog and your family. You will never have to leave your dog at home again. With an obedient dog, your future will be full of many new adventures and memories made.

Three Week Board and Train

Dogs with extreme behavioral issues and engrained bad behavior, due to abuse or lack of socialization, I would recommend the three week training program. For these types of dogs, two weeks is often not enough to correct the behavior. These issues will slow down the training process.

Your dog will stay in my home on the historic Boone Farm and train in all aspects of basic obedience. Any behavioral issues, such as jumping, nipping, barking, food aggression will also be addressed. I will take your dog in public numerous times. During training, I will prioritize what is most important for you and your dog. If your dog excels at a high level, I will move on to more advanced obedience.

What Your Dog Will Learn

  • Heel/Walk on leash in numerous environments

  • Sit in position until released

  • Down until released

  • Place/Stay (dog will remain in a down stay for five minutes)

  • Come on command in numerous environments

  • Door etiquette (will stop at all doorways until released)

  • Address behavioral issues, such as jumping, nipping, unwanted barking, counter surfing, food aggression

  • Socialization around people and other dogs

  • Greeting etiquette (will sit when approached)

  • Crate train, if requested

  • Load (will sit by vehicle door until given load command)

  • Commands (your dog will be trained with voice and hand signals)
